Don’t you love those?!
Oct. 6:
- pumpkin, Muslix cereal, cinnamon, milk, walnuts, flax
After-gym snack:
Banana, greek yogurt, brown rice–if I had some PB this would have been perfect.
Lunch:
Soup with rice, chickpeas, kidney beans, spinach, broccoli. Boringgg did not like
Oct. 7
- Granny Smith apple, walnuts, apple juice, pumpkin
Oct. 8
- Banana & PB!, black sesame, coconut, walnuts, flax, milk
Note the use of an actual bowl and using a cup like a cup is supposed to be used!
It was a glorious moment.
Dinner:
Vanilla [?] yogurt, cheerios, raw oats, huge loving splat of PB
Chili of some sort [vegetarian?], chickpeas, kidney beans, huge pile of broccoli. I think I went for seconds?
Oct. 9
- Lipton Apple Manor tea, pumpkin, Muslix cereal, walnuts, cinnamon, milk
The tea smells really good and tastes very cinnamon-y! It’s always awesome when I find tea that’s not bland tasting~
Lunch:
PB&B sandwich, broccoli, chickpeas, kidney beans, parmesan cheese.
That’s all I’m going to post for now ’cause I have a commerce assignment due in….10 hours?

Friday’s breakfast:
- oats, flax, walnuts, Kellogg’s JustRight cereal
- 1 gala apple
- 0.25 cup apple juice, water
- 2 tsp black sesame paste powder
![]()
This would have made an awesome cookie or muffin flavor! I have no words to describe this combo~
Anyway, this is a pretty short entry, so just for fun, I present to you…
My chem notes! This was after I solved the problem…and then I checked the answers and realized that I am a genius.
Later!

Okay not really…
Sunday & Monday’s breakfast:
- canned pineapples–courtesy of the cafeteria!
- 1 tsp shredded, unsweetened coconut
- 0.25 cup apple juice, 0.5 cup water
- oats, flax, walnuts
I love how I don’t even bother cooking oatmeal anymore–muesli for the win! You wake up and a nice bowl of oatmeal is all ready to be devoured–more instant than instant oatmeal!
![]()
I guess in a way, this could also be called “Summer Is Over–SUCKAZ” Oatmeal
Oh, and on Monday, I finally got my butt out of my room/classes long enough to go restock my oatmeal supply!
![]()
2 more bags of organic oats! Quaker oats for the loose now that I’ve had organic oats–the chewiness factor is quite difference! Although I will say that Quaker oats are better for soaking up flavors of fruit juices~ [I can't believe I know this...]
Monday’s post-gym snack:
Something you’ll probably think is gross.
- 0.5 cup leftover mocha from breakfast
- 1 packet instant cereal
- a lot of water
- splash of milk
Oh, I guess it’s not really that gross–it sounded a lot grosser in my head
Dinner:
PB&B ENGLISH MUFFIN!!!!!
I get so excited every time I get PB&B ’cause it is the BEST. I need to seriously go and buy some PB so I can add this awesome to my oatmeal and make it AWESOMENESS TO THE POWER OF THREE. OMG.
Oh, and to end on an even more awesome note: next Saturday’s chem quiz got cancelled! I don’t know why and I don’t care but I am elated

Exciting developments back at the Oatmeal Lab! [aka my messy, pig sty of a room]
What will this:
Look like tomorrow morning? [and/or after I do something crazy like add milk and water?]
Tune in tomorrow [or the day after...] to find out!
And now back to our show:
Today’s breakfast:
Oatmeal #106: No cows – Part II
Stolen caf food adventures! Snagged a kiwi yesterday, so this morning I get kiwi!
- oats, flax, walnuts, Kellogg’s Just Right cereal [snagged from inn breakfast buffet
], water - 0.25 cup apple juice
- 1 kiwi
I thought the kiwi flavor would match that of apple juice ’cause they’re both sweet and sour [in the fruity way, not the chicken McNugget dip way]–and the result was quite awesome! The kiwis definitely helped the fruit juice stand out more so that I could actually taste the combo of oatmeal + juice, as opposed to oatmeal + mildly sweetened water.
I also tried a new kind of tea this morning–chocolate spice tea–awesome, eh?! It did taste quite chocolatey and smooth! I’m not really a tea person, but I liked this! [Unfortunately, the tea bag was from a free sample thing
]
Pre-first-chem-lab snack:
I thought the lab was going to be three hours long–so I broke out the heavy stuff!
…but I was there for less than half an hour….
Oh well–I’m in no hurry to start lab-ing
Anyway–yeah–Clif bar! I finally have a new flavor to try–Black Cherry Almond. It tastes like it’s got rum in it–am I just crazy?
Dinner/post-first-bio-lab meal:
Since I’m on a 10 meals per week plan [the default meal plan for upper years], I eat breakfast, Sunday dinner [caf is closed], and 2 additional meals away from the cafeteria during the week so I don’t have to cook so much on weekends!
But yeah–I made the pasta salad from above this morning, and added the parmesan in when I got back to my room.
Contains: chickpeas, frozen mixed veg, whole wheat pasta, EVOO, lemon juice, oregano, parmesan
I also bought this:
With flex $$ on my way back ’cause I knew the pasta wouldn’t be enough. The blue cheese dressing is from another salad I had a while ago! I used it with the broccoli, but ate everything else plain ’cause I realized I don’t really like blue cheese that much! It tastes funny~~
AND TOMORROW IS FRIDAY!!!

Yesterday’s breakfast:
I guess in some way this is also Experiment #106 – No Cows – Part II, but whatevz!
Contents:
- oats, flax, walnuts, Muslix cereal
- cinnamon & vanilla extract
- 0.25 cup apple juice, water
- 1 granny smith apple
Like with the vitamin water–couldn’t really taste it! Maybe I need to add more juice–maybe I’ll do an experiment experiment on the ideal amount to add!
Anyway, still have lots of apple juice left–so it’s going to make several more appearances on the blog
Post-yoga snack:
Banana + PB!!!!!!!!!!! Nuff said
Post-lunch snack:
I had 2 of these–cafeteria lunch isn’t very filling…
Dessert/snack [can't remember if I had this before or after dinner]
Peach yogurt from bag lunch, with Muslix and a very tiny bit of flax on top.
More dessert:
The Luna bar! I’ve been wanting to try it all day, since I read about it on blogs so often–so I did! The picture only shows half, but I actually ate all of it
Today’s breakfast:
Felt kinda out of it this morning, and sat down to eat this:
…before I realized I forgot a lot of things!
There we go
Sorry for poor lighting and stuff!
Anyway, I was going to heat this up, but someone else was in the common room [where the microwave was] so I felt awkward going in and beeping their ears off at 5 a.m.
- oats, flax, Muslix, walnuts
- 1 banana
- 0.25 cup chocolate milk!!!
and 0.25 cup milk
I luv chocolate milk!
Off to dinner! Food blogs make me hungry.

Meant to get this up yesterday night, but I was busying have mini-spaz sessions about organic chem and imminent lab reports
Yesterday’s breakfast:
There was a huge sidewalk sale at my school on Friday, and this one stand was giving out free Vitamin Water–and my dad got me a bottle to try–I got the dragonfruit flavor. Anyway, forgot to take a picture of it, but it’s pink-ish and doesn’t have that medicine smell…but the smell was still weird…just from that alone, you’d never have guessed the drink was supposed to be sweet!
Anyway, to make a long story short, that’s what went into my muesli yesterday instead of milk! [hence the title?]
I didn’t use the whole bottle…just half–I drank half of it the first day ’cause I had a sore throat and didn’t bring enough water!
Capped off my breakfast with a huge thing of iced coffee [half a cup of tall iced caffe Americano from Starbucks--bought it Sunday but never drank it]–which I couldn’t finish. Heh.
Post-gym snack/pre-first class snack:
Vanilla yogurt “stolen” from the free breakfast thing at the inn dad stayed in! I got this on Friday, so I figured I should eat it ASAP since my fridge was getting cluttered!
I also threw in half a banana and some mixed nuts [salted--dad bought the bag...but ended up giving it to me] on top!
Oh, and yesterday was the first time I’ve ever used the gym at school–I tripped about a billion times on the treadmill! What gives?!
Lunch/post-class meal:
Finally sat down to eat after my Memory and organic chem lectures.
The leftover side: egg from the inn, english muffin [from the caf--heh], spinach & mushrooms [from yesterday's salad]
The right side: banana [from the morning], PB [from the inn], english muffin, spoon [from the shop at school]
Along with coffee from the morning.
Also ate a small plum and more nuts afterwards~
Dinner:
What I’m going to call a sandwich salad:
Right: before – a nice, normal sandwich [it was spared...for the picture]
Left: after – chainsaw massacre [or maybe plastic knife massacre?]
The sandwich and salad were included as a part of the bag lunch I got from the caf~they always put too much meat in one sandwich, so I decided to throw them both together
Salad: lettuce, tomato slice [heh there was literally one slice], cucumber, carrots, wheat bread, turkey, Granny Smith apple
Dessert:
My don [or residence admin person] came around everyone’s door to ask about our first day of classes and she had candy!
How do you say no to free candy??
