I actually ended up having a second all-nighter after the first [well...I did sleep for about 4.5 hours...so I guess it's an all-night wannabe
]…the inner workings of yeast turned me into a zombie for two days…
Nov 5
- mandarin oranges, pineapple, milk, flax, PB
Lunch:
Corn, peas, peppers, eggs, chickpeas, kidney beans, hummus sandwich
Corn~<3. I kinda want to bring out the veggie oatmeal again~but no time to go grocery shopping! [the store's like...half an hour away D: ]
- mango, papaya, pears, pineapples, PB, milk, flax, cinnamon, ground ginger
It’s canned fruits, just so you know
No way I would have had access to real papayas and mangoes! Although I wouldn’t have any objections if the caf decides to bring that stuff out
Lunch:
Broccoli, cauliflower, hummus sandwich
Caffeine:
This is like fore-shadowing…I haven’t drank coffee in the afternoon since first year..
Nov 7
- pears, walnuts, cocoa, cinnamon, ground ginger, milk, flax
+ orange spice white tea. I don’t like the dried orange peel smell, but the tea didn’t taste bad or anything~
My awesome dinner:
Jasmine rice, black beans, zucchini, ,red pepper, carrots, mushrooms, ginger hoisin sauce
LOVE jasmine rice! It smells even better than normal rice–which I didn’t think was possible until I took a whiff~and that is why food is so awesome
[other than the fact that y'know...we need it to live]
I originally planned on going to the gym today…but I don’t feel like it…so maybe I won’t go
I have a commerce assignment due tomorrow anyway~

…because the orgo midterm was a disaster.
Oct 18
- goji berries, longans, coconut, Muslix cereal, walnuts, milk, flax, cinnamon
Lunch:
The as usual!
Strawberry yogurt mixed with Greek yogurt, kashi, peanut butter.
I love weekend lunches ’cause that means I get to binge on Greek yogurt!!
Dinner:
Pumpernickel with baba ghanoush and cucs.
Crackers with baba ghanoush.
Tofu, tomatoes, tons of chickpeas, and potato salad with veggies and capers. This was the first time I’ve ever tried them–sad to say I don’t really like them!
Dessert:
Cookie with honeydew.
Oct 19
- Banana, peanut butter, walnuts, flax, milk
Not sure what else was in this! I have a feeling it may be cinnamon though…since I add it to everything
Hummus sandwich with tomatoes, tofu, egg, and cucs. Along with an apple.
Oct 20
A very fruity breakfast:
Even my tea was flavored with fruits! It’s basically green tea flavored with pineapple, orange, and passionfruit–was really good! I could taste it
- grapes, peach, cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, milk, flax, walnuts
For some reason…I didn’t really like watermelon, cataloupe, and honeydew in my oatmeal…maybe ’cause they weren’t sweet enough? It was kinda bland :\
Oh, and check out what I got in the mail yesterday:
SO.MUCH.FOOD. <3 [except for the stuff that's obviously not food]
My parents are awesome
But I love how they delivered my package in their Thanksgiving turkey box to remind me that they had a feast and I had caf food

Okay not really…
Sunday & Monday’s breakfast:
- canned pineapples–courtesy of the cafeteria!
- 1 tsp shredded, unsweetened coconut
- 0.25 cup apple juice, 0.5 cup water
- oats, flax, walnuts
I love how I don’t even bother cooking oatmeal anymore–muesli for the win! You wake up and a nice bowl of oatmeal is all ready to be devoured–more instant than instant oatmeal!
![]()
I guess in a way, this could also be called “Summer Is Over–SUCKAZ” Oatmeal
Oh, and on Monday, I finally got my butt out of my room/classes long enough to go restock my oatmeal supply!
![]()
2 more bags of organic oats! Quaker oats for the loose now that I’ve had organic oats–the chewiness factor is quite difference! Although I will say that Quaker oats are better for soaking up flavors of fruit juices~ [I can't believe I know this...]
Monday’s post-gym snack:
Something you’ll probably think is gross.
- 0.5 cup leftover mocha from breakfast
- 1 packet instant cereal
- a lot of water
- splash of milk
Oh, I guess it’s not really that gross–it sounded a lot grosser in my head
Dinner:
PB&B ENGLISH MUFFIN!!!!!
I get so excited every time I get PB&B ’cause it is the BEST. I need to seriously go and buy some PB so I can add this awesome to my oatmeal and make it AWESOMENESS TO THE POWER OF THREE. OMG.
Oh, and to end on an even more awesome note: next Saturday’s chem quiz got cancelled! I don’t know why and I don’t care but I am elated

I wish the caf had more colorful fruits…
Consists of:
- 1/2 ring of canned pineapple
- 1 tsp strawberry jam
- 0.125 cup Cheerios
- 0.125 cup Kashi GoLean cereal
- cafeteria oatmeal
Had this yesterday!
Not much to say about this one–it’s a rather boring combo, in my opinon…but the cafeteria has boring food :p I do like jam&fruits in oatmeal though! Oatmeal tastes great when it’s only a little sweet, but not too sweet as to completely overwhelm the flavor. And the cereal provides a crunchy factor, which is nice
Oh, and guess what I had as a part of my breakfast yesterday:
Definitely wasn’t sweet enough by itself, so I kinda chopped up a banana and ate it with the brownie. It’s not bad! Way better than adding some more sugar. I think next time I’m going to use banana when I make this, instead of the dried dates, which apparently, wasn’t even the right kind of dates to use! [thanks, VeggieGirl!
] That’s too bad, ’cause I still have a whole bag of dried dates lying around T__T
Heh, and something really stupid happened to me yesterday. At around 2: 00 I burst into my exam hall and was all “LET THERE BE EXAM WRITINGZZZ!” and nearly freaked when I saw that there was no room assignment for the exam I’m supposed to be writing..x_X So I frantically ran around asking the proctors and eventually found out that I was at the right place for my exam….except the exam wasn’t until 7: 00 p.m.. -.-” You can imagine how smart I felt then…
Going insane! But only 2 more exams to write on Monday and Wednesday, and then it’s baking & cooking everyday! I have a million ideas I’ve been dying to try. In fact, I’m going grocery shopping [tons and tons of oats!] after my last exam this Wednesday. I’ll hopefully be posting some oatmeal recipes soon!
