Strawberry yogurt mixed with Greek yogurt, kashi, peanut butter.

I love weekend lunches ’cause that means I get to binge on Greek yogurt!! :mrgreen:


Pumpernickel with baba ghanoush and cucs.


Crackers with baba ghanoush.
Tofu, tomatoes, tons of chickpeas, and potato salad with veggies and capers. This was the first time I’ve ever tried them–sad to say I don’t really like them!

Not sure what else was in this! I have a feeling it may be cinnamon though…since I add it to everything 😛

Hummus sandwich with tomatoes, tofu, egg, and cucs. Along with an apple.

A very fruity breakfast:

Even my tea was flavored with fruits! It’s basically green tea flavored with pineapple, orange, and passionfruit–was really good! I could taste it 😀

For some reason…I didn’t really like watermelon, cataloupe, and honeydew in my oatmeal…maybe ’cause they weren’t sweet enough? It was kinda bland :\

My parents are awesome 😀 But I love how they delivered my package in their Thanksgiving turkey box to remind me that they had a feast and I had caf food 😛


Experiment #11: Blueberry Oatmeal Scones April 27, 2008

Scones! They’re supposed to be blue & white…but then I forgot and mixed all the wet ingredients together in one bowl -.-” My brilliance astound me.

But they still tastes good! They weren’t as sweet as I was hoping they’d be, but I remedied that by slicing the scones up and putting some banana slices in between. Bananas = the best natural sweetener! Still, I think I’ll use at least half of the banana next time.

Makes 6 large scones – 97 kcal each!

  • 0.875 cup flour
  • 0.33 cup oatmeal
  • 2 tbsp applesauce
  • 0.25 small, mashed banana
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1.25 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp lemon juice
  • 0.25 cup blueberries – I mashed some, and left some as they were
  • 3 tbsp plain yogurt
  • Preheat oven to 375F
    Mix dry ingredients in one bowl, wet ingredients in another. Don’t add the lemon juice yet.
    Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture. Add lemon juice. Stir!
    Scoop wooden spoonfuls of the batter onto parchment paper/baking mat.
    Bake for 20 mins.

    I also baked some scones for the grad students at the lab I’m working at:

    I used sugar and stuff like normal people would XD I made chocolate scones ’cause I didn’t know if they liked blueberries, but there’s no way anyone wouldn’t like chocolate! I had a little taste of the scones and they were pretty good, if I do say so myself 😀 And I was surprised at how quickly these were done baking! Awesome.

    It was pretty messy work making these things. The batter was all mushy and stuff, so the stuff got all over my hands 😛

    My second last cafeteria brunch! This wasn’t really an experiment, so it doesn’t have its own post. Still tastes good though! I really need to find a place in Kingston that sells Greek yogurt, ’cause I love this stuff.

    Oh…speaking of buying stuff…so far I’ve spent $80 on groceries D: I have never spent so much money on something before! And the thing is, I still need to make another trip! How much do you guys normally spend on groceries?
